What is an EDI 120?
The EDI 120 Vehicle Shipping Order notifies the carrier about the upcoming arrival of a motor vehicle which the carrier is responsible for shipping to a specified destination, or on which the carrier has to perform a service.

How is an EDI 120 used?
An EDI 120 is exchanged between a vehicle manufacturer, an agent of the manufacturer, or another carrier. The purpose of sending the document is to notify the recipient about the status of a motor vehicle which needs to be shipped or serviced. It may be sent to a carrier by the vehicle manufacturer, by another carrier, or by an agent of the manufacturer.
