EDI 851 - Asset Schedule

What is an EDI 851?
The EDI 851 Asset Schedule provides the practices relative to establishing a schedule of assets and terms relating to those assets agreed upon by the parties making the arrangement.

How to use an EDI 851?
An EDI 851 Asset Schedule is most often used when two parties agree upon a contract dealing with assets and terms relating to them. After the 851 Asset Schedule is received, a 997 Functional Acknowledgment is sent back from the receiver indicating that the 851 Asset Schedule was successfully received.
